The problem
Ancora’s founders knew they offered something different - pragmatic financial guidance delivered with genuine care. But their existing brand didn’t reflect their personality or professionalism. It felt generic and cold when they were anything but.

The solution
Ancora needed a brand that would convey warmth, clarity, and confidence to early-stage and scaling businesses - while standing apart from the cookie-cutter look of traditional finance firms. They brought in The Marketing Plot to help them.
Ancora came to us with a set of initial brand guidelines - but something didn’t feel quite right. The tone was off, the visuals didn’t match their energy, and the brand lacked the warmth they bring to client relationships. They weren’t sure whether the existing direction could be salvaged or whether it was time for a complete reset.
We kicked things off with a two-hour brand workshop designed to uncover the answer. Through a series of collaborative activities, we explored the personality of the Ancora brand, tested the strength of its current assets, and encouraged the leadership team to think beyond the numbers. The session helped bring buried values to the surface and revealed some unexpected insights - giving the team clarity on who they really were, and how they wanted to show up.
The outcome was clear: a fresh approach was needed.

From there, we built momentum. Drawing on the workshop’s findings, we created a new editorial guide to define Ancora’s voice - warm, human, and quietly confident. Alongside this, we developed two distinct visual directions. Through collaborative feedback and iteration, we landed on a refined identity that felt true to Ancora: clean, approachable, and modern.

With the brand foundations in place, we moved into execution - delivering a full brand book, a newly designed website, and a streamlined build process. Every detail, from colour palette to copy tone, was shaped to reflect Ancora’s belief in clarity, care, and capability.
